Geez… I woke up this morning (at 5:30 waaaayyy to early, but gotta go to work) to a real surprise… I have a major bug-bike on my lower leg… Bright red, and HOT about the size of a quarter. I’m not sure if it is a mosquito bite, or a spider bite, but either way, it itches like MAD! I took some antihistamine, so I’m hoping for relief soon. Heart-sister Sue says to make a paste of baking-soda & water and pack that on and it should help. She’s so smart!!! I just LOVE her!. The red of the bugbite will go well with the green & blue of the bruise on my knee from yesterday. Again… gotta love living in the country
Mike just put the dogs in the pen, and is headed to his UPIW! Eternally grateful we both have jobs! The economy is so scary, that no matter how bad it is, We still have it so much better than some. (little prayer being sent up now!)
Just got home and worked @ UPIW all day, and am looking forward to my B-day tomorrow. Making plans for a b-day potluck. I did have some bummer news today. My b-day buddy Aurora had some med tests come back abnormal, and am praying all is OK. Also, Mike got an e-mail from one of his friends in the Iron Warriers motorcycle group that one of the members took his own life. Make God take mercy on his soul, and save him from whatever evil tormented him, that he felt that was his only way out. I hurt for the family and friends left behind…. On the celebrity front, Patrick Swayze also lost his battle with pancreatic cancer today. Again, so very hard on the families left behind.
Dinner 2-nite was AWESOME!!! Mike helped me make enchiladas with fresh tomato, pepper & onion out of our garden. Mmmmm it was the BEST. I also made a “mexi-layer” dip for the B-day pot-luck tomorrow at UPIW. I also made up some fresh salsa. Should be lots of fun
Facebook has really been amazing, as I have had lots of birthday wishes come my way already. Normally I have dreaded the date of my birth.. but this year I am determined to “have fun”, I am learning to appreciate my“life” not the passage of time , and how “old” I feel
Peace… be with you!
