Wow, It has definitely been a wild week! Dallas was amazing, and my class was a success. The resort @ the Gaylord Texan was so opulent. It was hard to believe that a small-town gal like me, could be experiencing such finery!
The plane ride back was a lesson in self control. The leg between Dallas and Phoenix was ok, but the leg between Phoenix and Boise proved that my ability to overcome air-sickness was pushed to the limit.
I was really glad once we got on the ground. The turbulence was pretty “tough”. It was really good to be back home. Even though the resort had every amenity imaginable. Nothing is better than being able to sleep in your own bed with all my “furry family”. Buddah Bear and Terry-Terry-Terry were very glad we were home. Even Bitchie slept on my feet. Then again… that may have been because the house was at 60 degrees when we got home, and it took a while to heat back up.
A Big THANK-YOU to Joe, Heather & Roland for watching the house in our absence. It really does make it easier to be away for a couple of days.
Then on Wednesday… Rick E called & said that Rochelle was going to bring baby Jackson by to celebrate his 1st birthday! How exciting. We got to meet the little man for the first time ever, and on his first birthday to boot!!! What a cutie-patootie! He looks just like his daddy! Sister Bobbi blew into town too. She had been in Portland with Sister Kelly. So I got to spend some time 1-1 with her. It is so hard having her in Denver. I really wish she lived closer by. I do miss her! She stayed long enough to help celebrate Lindsay’s 30th birthday on Saturday. (we were celebrating early) It was lots of fun. That Lin…. She’s always been Miss-Personality!!!
We all met at the Idaho Pizza on Caldwell Blvd. Brandon and Jenny were there too, In addition to Katie & Hailey-Bug. Wow, time goes by so fast. Bug started school this year!!! Where does the time go????? After the party I went to see Grandma A. She is amazing! However, she is getting so fragile. She’s lost her hearing, and doesn’t see really well anymore, and her memory just isn’t what it used to be.. but as she always says….. I’m in pretty good shape, for the shape I’m in!. I guess for 95 years “young” we certainly can’t ask for more than that! She is my whole inspiration for doing this self-indulgent blog…. I just can’t imagine being 46 years old, and raising my grandchild! (especially one as naughty as me!) She truly is/was and continues to be a “super-woman”.
Today, Joe and Roland stopped by the house. Roland was missing his “poppie” (Mike) and the two of them played for most of the day. Heather bought us all dinner tonight @ Dickey’s Barbeque. It was YUMMERS!!!. After Dinner we stopped by Lowe’s and bought new trash cans. And who says our life isn’t interesting!!! Ha ha ha ha
As another week draws to a close, I just hope that life finds you all well!. Live, Love, Laugh & Smile, leave the rest to God!
L : )
